Space-Save Your Cupboards
Many cupboards are a standard box with a few spaced out shelves inside. Rework the spaceinside with roll-out shelves or drawers and dividers.
Think Narrow
Many items stored in the kitchen don’t require a lot of width. You can utilize narrow spaces to provide additional solutions for those items.
Consider the space on either side of appliances. Creating a narrow shelf-set on wheels or runners that fit into those spaces can provide storage for spices and small containers.
Adding drawers beneath cabinets at the baseboard or ‘toe kicker’ level is a great way to store shallow or flat baking pans and cutting boards. Did you know that wine bottles fit perfectly in this space as well?
Another place with a bit of room is the area in front of the sink. Add a small drawer or ‘tip-out tray’ there to create a handy place to put small cleaning tools.
The inside of cupboard doors can be handy to store light things like lids and small boxes. You could also add hangers for measuring spoon and other hanging utensils.
Get into Drawers
It can be frustrating to dig through a cluttered drawer. One way to avoid that and make things easily accessible is by adding organizers to drawers. Plus, being able to roll out lower cupboards provides easier access to pots, pans and other items that get stored below the countertops.
