Avoid traffic frustrations
- Consider leaving earlier or later than the masses that commonly travel right at the end of a school or workday.
- Realize, with so many people traveling at the same time, that it will take you longer to get to your final destination.
- Use a navigation app that includes current traffic volume – Waze is a good one!
- Consider taking an alternate route with less traffic.
- Whenever possible, keep up-to-date on traffic reports along your journey to avoid concerns that extend travel time. Having an alternate route helps get around road concerns like construction or accidents.
- When planning your trip and time, remember to include rest stop time.
- Be prepared with water, nutrition, and emergency essentials in the car in case they’re needed.
